Golden Apple for a Golden Educator

Strings Spring 2026 Concert Celebrates Student Talent
On May 5, 2026, LFC hosted the Strings Spring 2026 Group Concert and Solo Recital in the gymnasium for parents and visitors. The concert showcased the musical growth, dedication, and talent of our student musicians. The evening featured a variety of ensemble performances and solo selections that highlighted the hard work and artistry developed throughout the school year. Family, friends, teachers, and staff enjoyed an inspiring celebration of music as students confidently shared their accomplishments and passion for the performing arts.
LFC Celebrates Game Day with Dad’s Club
The school year concluded with the highly anticipated Schoolwide Game Day & Dad’s Club Entertainment on Friday, May 15, 2026. Students across all grades enjoyed a day packed with fun activities with board games. Students in grades 5–8 brought energy, teamwork, and friendly competition to the court during our exciting 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament! Throughout the event, students showcased their basketball skills while demonstrating sportsmanship, perseverance, and school spirit. The Dad's Club delivered memorable entertainment, ensuring a celebratory and festive atmosphere for our entire LFC community as a grand finale to the school year.

Honoring Our Teachers and Staff
Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week was celebrated May 11–15 with a week of gratitude and special recognition for our outstanding educators. The celebration began with a Monday Morning Kick-Off Tea Party held in The Landing, beautifully styled in a “Bridgerton” theme. Teachers were welcomed into an elegant setting inspired by a proper English afternoon tea, complete with all the expected elements like delicate pastries, selection of tea varieties, refined décor, and a warm, festive atmosphere that set the tone for a week dedicated to honoring their hard work, dedication, and impact on students.
Final LFC Memories for Our 8th Grade Eagle
Our 8th Grade Eagles wrapped up their final year at LFC with an unforgettable week of celebrations! From their annual class field trip and official Class Portrait to the traditional backyard crawfish boil, our rising high schoolers made the absolute most of their final days together. It was wonderful watching them bond, laugh, and create lasting memories as a class. A massive thank you to the incredible staff, chaperones, and parent volunteers who dedicated their time to make these milestone events so special for our students!
Awards Day Celebrates Eagle Excellence
Congratulations to our 1st through 7th graders who were recognized during our annual Awards Day Program! This special event gave us the chance to celebrate the ACADEMIC MILESTONES, CHARACTER, AND EXCEPTIONAL EFFORT our students have displayed throughout the school year. Seeing their HARD WORK pay off is a reminder of what makes LFC GREAT!
Eagles Soar to the Next Milestone
We were incredibly proud to celebrate our Kindergarten and 8th-grade students as they took part in their promotional exercises. Our Kinder-Eagles are officially ready to step into 1st grade committed to LFC for the next 8 years. Our rising 8th graders are preparing to make the exciting leap into high school. Both classes have shown immense GROWTH, CURIOSITY, and RESILIENCE this year. Ms. Dinah Smith, Alumna Class of 2022, was the keynote speaker for this year’s 8th grade promotional exercise. Congratulations to all of our promoting students, and a heartfelt thank you to the teachers, staff, and families who have cheered them on every step of the way!
