Holiday Classroom Socials

On December 18, 2025, classrooms across Lake Forest Charter marked the holiday season with teacher-guided classroom socials, offering students a moment of celebration woven thoughtfully into the school day. Held across all grade levels, these gatherings were designed to feel festive without disrupting the structure and focus that define daily classroom life.

Each social was shaped with care and age-appropriate intention. Teachers led activities that reflected the season through light snacks, music, shared stories, and short videos, creating space for students to enjoy one another’s company while remaining anchored in familiar routines. The result was an atmosphere that felt relaxed and inclusive, allowing students to connect socially in a way that felt natural and welcoming.

K–2 Grandparents’ Holiday Ornament Workshop

On December 5, 2025, the Lake Forest gymnasium was filled with laughter, conversation, and the quiet focus of creativity as our Kindergarten through 2nd grade scholars welcomed a very special group of guests, their grandparents.

The K–2 Grandparents’ Holiday Ornament Workshop offered a meaningful opportunity for students and grandparents to slow down and spend intentional time together. Side by side, they crafted festive holiday ornaments, sharing stories, smiles, and a few joyful messes along the way. Each ornament became more than a decoration, it became a keepsake, made with love and connection.

Scholars proudly hosted the event, guiding their grandparents through the activity and enjoying a special holiday treat together. The room buzzed with warmth as generations connected through creativity, reinforcing the importance of family, tradition, and togetherness.

Moments like these reflect what makes the Lake Forest community so special: learning that extends beyond the classroom and memories that last far longer than the season. The ornaments may hang on trees, but the experience will remain in hearts for years to come.

Blanc Sneaker Ball Celebrates LFC’s Class of 2026

On December 18, 2025, Lake Forest Charter’s 8th Grade students gathered for the 7th Annual Dîner en Blanc Sneaker Ball, a signature tradition designed to mark an important milestone in their academic journey. Planned by the 8th Grade Instructional Leaders, the event offered students a formal holiday celebration that recognized their role as the school’s senior class.

As one of the culminating experiences of 8th grade, Dîner en Blanc holds a special place in the Lake Forest community. The evening provided students with a space to step into a more formal setting, celebrate the season, and reflect on the growth and responsibility that come with reaching the final year of middle school.

Thoughtfully designed to balance elegance with personality, the Sneaker Ball format invited students to dress up while staying true to themselves. The result was an atmosphere that felt both elevated and authentic, mirroring the values Lake Forest seeks to instill in its students as they prepare for the transition to high school.

Events like Dîner en Blanc are more than celebrations. They serve as markers of progress, community, and shared accomplishment. We are proud of our 8th Grade students and grateful to the educators who continue to create meaningful traditions that honor their achievements,

Louisiana All-State Middle School Orchestra Weekend

Recognizing Positive Behavior

During the second quarter, Lake Forest Charter celebrated students who continue to set the standard through our PBIS program. Eagles who earned at least 90 percent positive points on ClassDojo were invited to take part in our quarterly PBIS Celebration, recognizing their commitment to being Safe, Organized, Accountable, and Respectful each day.

PBIS at LFC is about more than rewards. It reflects how we build a positive school culture by acknowledging strong choices while supporting students as they grow. Families play an important role in this process, and we encourage parents and caregivers to stay connected through ClassDojo to keep up with progress in real time.

Dad’s Movie Night

December 14, 2025, the PTO Dad’s Club hosted a free Movie Night for Lake Forest Charter students and their families. Gathering in the evening, families enjoyed the animated film In Your Dreams, a story that follows siblings Stevie and Elliot as they navigate a dream world shaped by imagination, teamwork, and family bonds.

The event offered a relaxed and welcoming space for our community to spend time together, unwind, and share a simple joy outside the school day. Thank you to the PTO Dad’s Club for creating an evening centered on connection, laughter, and togetherness.
