LFC Celebrates Black History Month!
LFC Art Department and Student Council sponsored a student-led Black History Month exhibit March 3, 2023. Additionally, as a salute to students were encouraged to wear costumes depicting their favorite “Black History Maker”.

LFC Strings: Swing Music with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra
On Friday February 10, 2023 string and band students went on a field trip to the Young People’s Concert, hosted by The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. While in attendance LFC students got the opportunity to play swing music along with the philharmonic orchestra.
Classroom Spotlight: 5th Grade ELA
Fifth graders followed detailed instructions to create cereal boxes with illustrations and information about the selected novel. The goal is to persuade other pupils to purchase the cereal.

Students Enjoy Mardi Gras Mambo Dance!
Thank you to our staff and parents for coming out and chaperoning the Mardi Gras Mambo Dance for the 3rd - 5th graders. The students truly had an amazing time! We want to send a special thank you to our 3rd-5th grade parents who had the largest amount of volunteers for any activity this year! A special shout out to our dads who attended!
