New At The Eagles' Nest: April Recap

Teaching Spotlight: 5th graders become public relations agents for European explorers in an epic adventure of persuasive speeches and historical discoveries!

Calling all adventure seekers! The 5th graders at our school recently embarked on an epic quest to explore the lives of European explorers. But this wasn't your typical research project - these students became public relations agents for their assigned explorer!

In this thrilling challenge, each student had to dive deep into the history books and uncover fascinating facts about their explorer. They then had to prepare a persuasive speech that would convince their classmates (aka the board of judges) that their explorer deserved a spot in the Hall of Fame, not the Hall of Shame.
