Our rigorous, accelerated curriculum is designed not only to challenge students but to inspire them to seek understanding of how and why the world works. Enrichment in the arts, technology, language, and health allows students to uncover new curiosities and hone their distinctive strengths, broadening how they express themselves and how they see the world.

A Rated Performance
Lake Forest Charter has garnered an A rating from the Orleans Parish School Board since being established in 2006. Elementary school performance ratings are based on state standardized test scores.
National Title I Distinguished School
Lake Forest Charter was named a Title I Distinguished School in 2009, 2016, and recently in 2024. This designation is awarded to schools that exhibit exceptional student performance and academic growth, close the achievement gap between student groups, and show excellence in serving student populations.

National Blue Ribbon
Lake Forest Charter has been awarded the National Blue Ribbon by the United States Department in 2021 and in 2013. This National honor acknowledges and validates the hard work of students, educators, families, and communities in striving for and attaining exemplary achievement. National Blue Ribbon Schools serve as models of effective school practices for state and district educators and other schools throughout the nation.
Terrel H. Bell
Award
Lake Forest Charter's Chief Executive Officer received the Terrel H. Bell award for Outstanding Leadership from the U.S. Department of Education in 2021. The Terrel H. Bell Award recognizes exceptional school leaders who have successfully used education to transform lives. This is the highest honor a school leader can receive.
