Main Round
Seat Availability
It is important to note that meeting this criteria does not guarantee a seat assignment at LFC. In the event that there are more eligible applicants than available seats in the Main Round*, our two- tiered process will determine seat allocation. In subsequent rounds NOLA-PS will conduct a lottery.
Allocation Policy
Eligible applicants are ranked by their total matrix score from highest to lowest - 75% of available seats are assigned to the top matrix scorers (1st tier). The remaining 25% of the available seats at each grade level will be filled through a NOLA-PS conducted lottery of all qualified applicants (2nd-tier). Qualified students who do not receive a seat assignment at the time of the lottery will be placed on a waiting list. Waitlist will expire on September 1st 2026.
Kindergarten Sibling Rule
Eligible Kindergarten Main Round applicants with siblings who are current LFC students in kindergarten through 7th grade receive the highest priority in seat assignment.
Twin Rule
For families when all applicants meeting the criteria are multiples (children from the same birth event or pregnancy) there are special procedures in place during the Main Round match. If one but not all, child of a set of multiples concurrently applying to attend school, is matched to a school on their application, the other multiples shall also be matched if they applied to the same set of schools, are eligible and the choices are ranked in the same order. An applicant shall be matched with his or her sibling(s) only if all students have submitted timely, family-linked applications per standard enrollment procedures. *Only applies to eligible applicants meeting the criteria for admissions.
Lottery, Seat Assignment Offers, and Waitlists
Students are matched with their highest- ranked available school. All acceptance and waiting list information will be communicated to families directly through the NOLA-PS Enrollment Office.

2nd through Final Round

Meeting our academic requirements demonstrates that your child is well-prepared to thrive in our environment. However, it is important to note that meeting these criteria does not guarantee a seat assignment at LFC. In the event that there are more eligible applicants than available seats, NOLA-PS will conduct a lottery to determine seat allocation.
