The intent of the law is to keep parents fully informed concerning decisions about their child/children and to inform parents of their rights if they disagree with any of these decisions. (click on each link, below)
Section 504 is federal, civil rights law that is part of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Section 504 prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance.
