Eligibility Assessment
All applicants must complete their eligibility assessment onsite at Lake Forest Charter School. An eligibility assessment date will be assigned and sent via email directly from LFC when both the completed OneApp and supplemental admission form (SAF) are received and verified by the LFC Office Of Admissions.
Kindergarten applicants will be assessed individually on weekdays. Grades 1st through 8th applicants will be assessed in groups on Saturdays. Non-Saturday, religious accommodation dates are available where applicable. Please note, that it is LFC policy to assess in-person only. Virtual assessments are not permitted. There are no exceptions.
Test Accommodations:
If an applicant has a 504 Plan or an IAP which prescribes testing accommodations for standardized testing and wishes to request accommodations for the eligibility assessment, a copy of the current Individualized Education Plan (IAP) or Individualized Accommodation Plan (IAP) must be provided five working days prior to the scheduled assessment. Test accommodation documentation provided after the five-day window will not be honored. It is necessary that LFC have the indicated accommodations prepared for the applicant by the assessment date.
IEP and 504 Accommodations should be sent to Admissions@LakeForestCharter.org. Only pdf files will be accepted.
Kindergarten Assessments Schedule

See Admissions Calendar for specific dates
Make-up Assessments
If for any reason, the applicant is unable to assess on his/her assigned date, only one makeup date will be offered by the LFC Office of Admissions. It is the responsibility of the applicant to notify the LFC Office of Admissions of the missed assessment via email by the next available school day following the scheduled assessment date. Failure to notify the school will result in forfeiting the opportunity to reschedule the assessment.
Retest Requests
It is LFC’s firm policy not to reassess any applicant for any reason. No exceptions. Once an assessment is taken there is no other opportunity to take it again until the following school year’s open application period.
