Admissions Eligibility Phase I

The admissions process is initiated with LFC after the applicant completes a NOLA-PS NCAP application with Lake Forest Charter selected as a choice and then completes the LFC supplemental admissions form (SAF) with supporting documentation. If documents are not available, please upload a blank sheet to the portal and submit documentation via email to Admissions@LakeForestCharter.org or physical copies may be dropped off at the front desk once it becomes available.

*Please note, that applicants are responsible to have any corrections made to a document before they are calculated into the matrix score. If an applicant is having an issue obtaining a corrected document from another school they must notify the LFC Office of Admission before the matrix score is calculated.

Once both applications are received, applicants will receive a welcome notification communicated directly from Lake Forest Charter via email with an Admissions Welcome Packet link, eligibility assessment date, and Orientation/Survey link within 72 hours of the business week.

After completing the eligibility assessment, a score notification will be communicated to all applicants via email directly from Lake Forest Charter within 10 working days.

Grades Kindergarten & 1st applicants must score a minimum of 11 combined points on the eligibility assessment to progress to Phase II. Grades 2nd through 8th-grade applicants must score a minimum of 14 combined points on the eligibility assessment to proceed to Phase II.

Admissions Eligibility Phase II

Once an applicant has achieved the minimum combined math and reading score on the eligibility assessment they will move on to the next phase. In Phase II, the portfolio, grade point average, attendance record, and orientation/survey matrix points are calculated. Admissions eligibility will then be communicated to families via email directly from Lake Forest Charter within 10 business days after the assessment date.

Please note that applicants are responsible for having any corrections made to a document before they are calculated into the matrix score. If an applicant has an issue obtaining a corrected document from another school, they must notify the LFC Office of Admission before the matrix score is calculated.
